LAFAYETTE, La – On July 27th, 2018, Dr. Patrick Moore, owner of Moore Healthcare Group was recognized as “Fellow of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC)” for his excellence in, and commitment to, preventive cardiology.

The ASPC focuses on promoting prevention of cardiovascular disease, advocating for the preservation of cardiovascular health, and providing high-quality, evidence-based information through the education of healthcare clinicians and their patients.

Dr. Moore’s mission is to pair a unique experience with exceptional healthcare and cardiovascular prevention for each of his patients. As a newly inducted Fellow of the ASPC, Dr. Moore has access to national and international experts in numerous areas related to the prevention of cardiovascular disease, additional educational materials, and resources for cardiovascular disease prevention. Moore continues to strive to provide a unique experience with each patient while focusing on a custom plan tailored for their care in our community.

“I thought I was a pretty good doc about 5 years ago. Then I met some colleagues who really opened my eyes to this concept of cardiovascular prevention – preventing heart attacks, strokes, and amputations. At that point, I realized that I was not so good after all. After putting my head down and focusing, I dove head-first into this important, underrepresented area of medicine. This recognition solidifies this Herculean effort and gives further encouragement and confidence to my staff, my colleagues, and me. As a result, although we may be deterred, we will not be denied. We must continue to blaze a trail in this arena. There are just too many untimely deaths that arise from these disease conditions. There is always room for more patients, education, treatment, advances, and continued learning. Waiting for a heart attack or stroke is simply not the ticket!! Thanks for all your support!” – Dr. Patrick Moore

About Moore Healthcare Group:

Moore Healthcare Group (MHG) is the only medical facility of its kind in Acadiana and excludes no one from receiving its services. Our mission is the early detection and prevention of cardiac-related illnesses. Our dedicated team of friendly healthcare professionals works primarily with two types of patients: those who have a family history of heart disease, diabetes and stroke and are seeking a medical resource for further disease progression, and patients whose pre-diagnosed symptoms can receive a more comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis to help treat their illness effectively in order to ensure a longer and better quality of life.
